Using the earth loop, a WaterFurnace geothermal heat pump pulls the heat from the ground in the heating cycle. The geothermal system draws the heat from the loops and passes this warmed air through a conventional duct system. Additional options include using that same heat to provide hot water and radiant floor heating are available.

Geothermal Cooling

Conditioning air is just the reverse process used in the heating cycle. Warm air is driven by the geothermal heat pump into the ground. By getting rid of the warm air, all that is left is cool air dispersing throughout your home. Heating your water during this process is "free".
